Vessel with an almost spherical belly, widest about 1/3 of the vessel's height. Sloping shoulders. Neck poorly defined — very short and wide. Rounded, slightly flaring rim. Rounded bottom. Made of Nile clay NB. Surface smooth; outer surface finished to about half its height with a knife or similar tool. A rather indistinct cord impression around the widest diameter of the belly. Light red color. Chipped rim and traces of salting in places over the entire surface. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC. Vessel height 24.9 cm; rim diameter 10.3 cm; body diameter 24.2 cm. Comparable to Reisner, Mycerinus, fig. 62.3 types II–III., A round, bulbous ceramic vessel with a narrow open mouth and a slightly chipped rim, showing a rough, weathered surface texture; the vessel displays shades of terracotta, brown, beige, and hints of pale gray, with mottled patches and small pitted areas across its curved body against a neutral light-gray background.
