Vessel with an almost spherical belly, widest about 1/3 of the vessel's height. Sloping shoulders. Neck poorly defined – very short and wide. Rounded, slightly flaring rim. Rounded bottom. Made of Nile clay NB. Surface smooth; outer surface finished to about half its height with a knife or similar tool. A rather indistinct cord impression around the widest diameter of the belly. Light red color. Chipped rim and traces of salting in places over the entire surface. Comparative material: Reisner, Mycerinus, fig. 62.3 type II, III, ca. 2686–2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu, vessel, height 24.9 cm, diameter 10.3 cm rim, diameter 24.2 cm body., A large rounded clay vessel with a narrow rim, showing a weathered, textured surface in shades of brown, reddish-brown, tan, and gray, with small pits, scratches, and uneven patches across its curved body, set against a smooth light gray background.
