Ushabti Hora, Mummy-shaped figurine shabti, funerary gift, 332–30 BC; Ptolemaic Period, Egypt. Standing on a base, back supported by a pillar/pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest, right folded over the left, holding hoes in both hands. A basket is on the back, slung on a single string over the left shoulder. Wearing a three-part smooth wig and a long braided beard. Face with proportional features, mouth set in a slight smile. Inscribed inscription placed on the front of the legs in one wide column framed with lines: Shd Osiris Hor born of Her-ib, justified by the voice. Height: 11.1 cm., A small statuette viewed from the back standing on a dark base, with a worn surface showing shades of green, turquoise, brown, and hints of reddish-brown; the figure has a rounded head and a long vertical form with carved vertical and horizontal grooves, and a few small fabric patches adhered to the lower back area; the background is a uniform gray.
