Medum type bowl, Medum type bowl with characteristic carination under the rim. Rounded bottom. Straight rim, slightly flaring. Narrow, sloping shoulders. The diameter of the rim is smaller than the diameter of the vessel's shoulders. Clay probably NB1. The surface is leveled and covered with a layer of engobe, then polished. Vessel colour: red. Complete, very well preserved. c. 2686–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu. Vessel; height 4.2 cm; diameter 21.1 cm rim and shoulders., A shallow rounded bowl viewed from the side, made of terracotta with a worn, matte surface showing scratches and scuffs; the rim is slightly raised and the body tapers to a rounded base. The bowl is primarily reddish-brown with areas of lighter, dusty tan wear and a few darker spots. The background is a flat gray.
