Medum type bowl, Egyptian ceramics, Medum type bowl with characteristic carination under the rim. Rounded bottom. Straight rim, slightly flaring. Narrow, sloping shoulders. The diameter of the rim is smaller than the diameter of the vessel's shoulders. Clay probably NB1. The surface is leveled and covered with a layer of engobe, then polished. Vessel colour red. Complete vessel, very well preserved. c. 2686–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu. Vessel; height 4.2 cm, diameter rim 21.1 cm, diameter shoulders 21.1 cm., A single terracotta bowl with a rounded shape and a slightly thickened rim sits against a plain gray background; the bowl shows a weathered surface with patches of lighter and darker reddish-brown, small worn spots, and faint horizontal lines around its exterior, and the visible colors include reddish-brown, lighter beige areas from wear, and gray in the background.
