Vessel with hieratic inscription. Conical clay vessel tapering toward the bottom, irregular, widest approx. 3/4 of the height. Narrow, slightly sloping shoulders; short, wide neck; very gently rounded, slightly flaring rim; pointed bottom. Handcrafted; upper part shoulders, neck, and rim turned. Smooth surface, externally probably covered with an engobe. Made of Nile clay NB2 Vienna System. Remains of a hieratic inscription in black on the lower part of the belly. Complete, well preserved. Comparative parallels cited; dated to the Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC, find from Edfu. Dimensions: height 12.9 cm; rim diameter 5.5 cm; body diameter 7.8 cm., An ancient-looking clay vessel with a rounded shoulder and pointed base is shown against a plain gray background; the surface of the vessel is rough and weathered with an uneven texture, showing a mix of beige, tan, brown, and muted reddish tones, with some darker brown speckles and lighter patches, and small pits and irregularities across its body.
