Jug. Jug with a biconical belly, widest at about half its height; broad, not very sloping shoulders; wide neck slightly widening toward the spout, the neck about one-third of the vessel's total height. Spout profiled, irregular, slightly raised and extended on one side forming a small secondary spout; cross-section almost triangular with a ~1 mm indentation at centre of outer profile. Bottom very slightly rounded. Made of Nile clay NB1? according to the Vienna System. Neck was made separately and joined to the body; joint traces erased. Outer surface smoothed, covered with an engobe and polished. Inner surface smoothed except for the neck, which is also engobed and polished. Color reddish-brown. Well preserved with slight chipping at the rim and areas of engobe worn off on the outer surface. Edfu — local workshop. Old Kingdom comparative parallels: Reisner, type XIX–XX, ca. 2686–2181 BC. Measurements referenced in comparative material: example height 17.4 cm; rim Ø 8.1 cm; body Ø 15 cm; base Ø 8.6 cm., A single terracotta vessel with a rounded body tapering toward a narrower base and a short neck that flares slightly at the rim, showing surface wear and small chips; the object appears in shades of reddish-brown with lighter beige and pale grayish patches and faint horizontal striations, set against a uniform gray background.
