Figurine of the god Amun, Amun mythology, Egyptian deities, male figurines, Egyptian art, Once holding a khepesh, ca. 1069–ca. 747 BC; Third Intermediate Period, Egypt, sculpture, height 19.6 cm, width 6.2 cm, A standing male figure sculpture with a tall flat-topped headdress and a stylized beard held by one hand against the chest, rendered in a rough textured dark material that appears brownish-black with some lighter brown highlights; the figure wears a short patterned skirt with carved linear and diagonal motifs and a collar-like necklace, has one arm bent across the chest and the other hanging by the side, and shows detailed facial features and ears; the base and background are neutral gray, and the surface shows patches of lighter brown and subtle metallic sheen.
