Aryballos with a depiction of warriors with shields, Middle Corinthian period, ca. 570 BC, Corinth; vessel aryballos, height 5.9 cm, width 6.7 cm., An earthenware vessel with a rounded body and a short neck topped by a flat, wide rim; the surface shows painted circular motifs resembling shields or round figures in dark black against a light beige clay background, with additional black linear and dot patterns around the neck and shoulder; the vessel appears worn with areas of surface loss and darkened spots, and the visible colors are beige, black, and hints of brown.
