Horse figurine, unknown Cypriot workshop. Schematic horse figurine. Plastically modeled muzzle, strongly rounded at the tip. Eyes marked with convexities. Mane attached. Neck strongly elongated in relation to the rest of the body, flattened at the rear edge, imitating a mane. Body narrow in relation to the neck, cylindrical. Front legs spread out to the sides, also cylindrical. Hind legs designed as a single unit in the form of a cylinder. Traces of polychrome visible on the surface: muzzle and mane reddish-brown, eyes highlighted in black. Traces of black paint also visible on the neck and chest of the animal. 750–600 BC formerly dated 6th century BC; Cypro-Archaic II. Cyprus. Figurine; height 10.8 cm, width 7.8 cm., A roughly vertical beige stone or clay object with a weathered, pitted surface stands against a plain gray background; the object tapers slightly toward the top where a rounded protrusion is visible, and the lower portion splits into a forked base creating a narrow central gap, with patches of reddish and darker gray discoloration scattered across the surface and small rough irregularities and pits evident throughout.
