Horse figurine, unknown Cypriot workshop. Schematic horse figurine. Plastically modeled muzzle, strongly rounded at the tip. Eyes marked with convexities. Mane attached. Neck strongly elongated in relation to the rest of the body, flattened at the rear edge, imitating a mane. Body narrow in relation to the neck, cylindrical. Front legs spread out to the sides, also cylindrical. Hind legs designed as a single unit in the form of a cylinder. Traces of polychrome visible on the surface: muzzle and mane reddish-brown, eyes highlighted in black. Traces of black paint also visible on the neck and chest of the animal. 750–600 BC Cypro-Archaic period II, Cyprus. Terracotta figurine, height 10.8 cm, width 7.8 cm., A clay figurine shaped like an abstract animal or creature stands against a gray background; its surface is rough and textured with visible pitting and small holes, and its overall color is a pale beige with patches of light brown and faint reddish areas, especially near the head and upper body, along with a few darker specks. The form has a tall vertical body with a horizontal extension at the lower part creating a right-angle leg-like support, a rounded head with a protruding snout or muzzle and a few rounded bumps suggesting ears or facial features, and the base shows worn, slightly irregular feet. The lighting is even, casting a soft shadow beneath the figure.
