Red-figure aryballus lekythos with a depiction of Eros and a woman, Darius Painter active 340–320 BC, Apulia; vessel lekythos, aryballus lekythos, height 23.3 cm, width 10.7 cm, 340–320 BC., The image shows a ceramic vessel with a long narrow neck and a flared rim, set against a plain light gray background. The vessel displays a black surface with reddish-orange figures and decorative elements. On the rounded body there is a scene with a winged nude figure facing a robed figure, both rendered in reddish-orange on the black ground. The neck and rim are mostly black with some worn reddish-orange edges, and the shoulder has vertical ribbed decoration in reddish-orange. The lower body has a patterned band in black and reddish-orange above a stepped rounded base that shows areas of black and reddish-orange wear.
