Red-figure aryballus lekythos with a depiction of Eros and a woman, Darius Painter active 340–320 BC, Apulia, 340–320 BC; vessel lekythos, aryballus lekythos, height 23.3 cm, width 10.7 cm., A ceramic vessel with an elongated neck and a flared rim sits against a neutral background; it has a single curved handle connecting neck and shoulder and a rounded body rising from a stepped foot. The surface shows contrasting bands of dark black and warm terracotta tones with ornamental painted motifs, including swirling foliate patterns, stylized palmette forms, and parts of a winged figure rendered in the terracotta color against the black ground. The neck and handle show wear with patches where the dark pigment is worn, and a decorative band of wave-like meanders encircles the lower body above the foot. The visible colors are black, terracotta, and hints of lighter worn beige.
