Red-figure aryballus lekythos with a depiction of Eros and a woman, Darius Painter active 340–320 BC, 340–320 BC, Apulia; vessel lekythos, aryballus lekythos, height 23.3 cm, width 10.7 cm, An upright ceramic vessel with a narrow neck, flared rim, and single curved handle stands on a flat surface; the body is primarily black with orange and reddish-brown painted figures and decorative motifs, including a winged human figure in orange on one side, swirling floral and leaf patterns around it, a band of repeating wave-like ornament near the base, and vertical fluted decoration at the shoulder; the rim and base show worn orange and darkened areas, and small chips and surface wear are visible on the black and orange painted surfaces.
