Amphora, Cyprus, geometric motifs, Cypriot pottery. Large amphora with two horizontal handles, rounded shoulders, and a neck narrowing in the middle, ending with a profiled rim. Decoration in red and black: on the neck formed by sets of lines, stripes, vertical lines, and triangles; on the belly formed by black lines and stripes. 850–750 BC. Vessel. Height 64.2 cm, width 42.4 cm., A large rounded ceramic vessel with a wide flared rim and two small looped handles on opposite sides; the body has a matte, aged beige base color with visible wear and faint patches of darker beige and pale reddish stains, decorated with several horizontal bands in black and a muted red band near the neck, and a patterned section of vertical and geometric black markings around the upper neck; the rim interior shows a darker reddish-brown hue, the handles and rim edges are darker brown to black, and the overall surface has a slightly rough, weathered texture against a neutral gray background.
