Terracotta figurine of Eros with a goose. Terracotta; figurine of a standing Eros produced from a mold. The figure stands frontally, slightly leaning back and facing left, on a low rectangular base. On the left he leans against a small column; on the right he holds a nearby goose by the neck. The left hand, clasped at the elbow, rests on the top of the column and holds a short cloak pulled halfway up. The cloak, fastened with a fibula over the right shoulder, covers the chest and forms folds that flow along the column. Hair arranged in curls, covered in the upper part by a high diadem. Outstretched wings with straight, defined feathers, slightly tilted back. Scratches faded; traces of polychromy. 2nd half of the 1st century BC, Asia Minor. Height 14 cm; width 10.2 cm; depth 3.4 cm; weight 0.18 kg., A weathered stone sculpture shown from the side depicting a figure with a rounded head and textured hair leaning against a vertical slab, with visible carved folds suggesting draped clothing; the surface shows rough, pitted areas and patches of lighter residue, and the colors present include beige, tan, brown, and hints of pale pink against a muted gray background.
