Terracotta figurine of Eros with a goose. Terracotta; figurine of a standing Eros. The figure, positioned frontally, slightly leaning back and facing left, stands on a low rectangular base. On the left he leans against a small column; on the right he holds a goose by the neck. The left hand, clasped at the elbow, rests on the top of the column, holding a short cloak halfway up. The cloak, fastened with a fibula over the right shoulder, covers the chest and forms folds and flows along the small column. Hair arranged in curls, covered in the upper part by a high diadem. Outstretched wings with straight, defined feathers, slightly tilted back. Scratches faded, traces of polychromy. 2nd half of the 1st century BC, Asia Minor. Figurine; height 14 cm, width 10.2 cm, depth 3.4 cm, weight 0.18 kg., A small weathered sculpture of a seated winged figure rendered in rough textured stone sits on a rectangular base; the figure has a round head with a simple hair or headband form, a softly modeled face, folded wings extending behind the shoulders, and draped clothing over the torso and legs; the surface shows mottled areas of earthy beige and light brown with traces of pale pink and muted white, and patches where the stone appears worn and slightly darker in places, all against a plain gray background.
