Medum-type bowl, Clay vessel, Medum-type bowl with characteristic carination under the rim. Rounded bottom, straight slightly flaring rim, narrow sloping shoulders; rim diameter smaller than shoulder diameter. Made of Nile clay, light red, well fired. Surface leveled, coated with engobe and polished. Outside of the lower body bears a hieroglyphic sign in the shape of a bird, probably the letter m. Vessel color red. Complete and very well preserved. Height 8.9 cm; rim diameter 20.9 cm; shoulder diameter 21.5 cm. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC., A simple terracotta bowl floating against a flat gray background, showing a rounded exterior with a slightly flared rim and a smooth, worn surface in shades of reddish-brown and muted orange with lighter patches and subtle darker spots.
