Beaker, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, stemmed beakers; clay, bulging bowl with an upturned flat narrow rim, set on a low cylindrical stem terminating in a small damaged foot. Horizontal traces of polishing on the surface. 1st half of the 3rd millennium BC; Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Tell Jassa el Gharbi North-Eastern Syria, Northern Mesopotamia Khabur Basin. Vessel; height 11.5 cm, width 11.6 cm, weight 264 g., A rounded earthenware vessel with a narrow foot and flared rim sits against a neutral gray background; the pot shows a weathered surface with horizontal striations and patches of varied tones including tan, brown, ochre, and darker grayish-brown areas, with a few lighter worn spots and a small band of white material at the base.
