Bowl, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, bowl with a small round flat bottom. The bowl walls are tilted in the lower half, straight in the upper half, ending with a low, slightly distinct, slightly thickened and rounded rim. In the lower part of the bowl, a pinkish burn mark is visible, left by the bowl in which it was placed. Clay vessel, table vessel; vice-free vessel. Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC / Early Dynastic III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Origin: Northern Mesopotamia Al-Jazira, Khabur Basin; findspot: Tell Jassa el Gharbi, northeastern Syria. Height 7.7 cm, width 12.3 cm, weight 170 g., A round, flat object with concentric circular markings and visible cracks forming a patchwork across its surface, showing a range of earthy tones including tan, beige, light brown, and pale pink, set against a solid dark gray background; there are a few small dark spots and subtle texture variations on the surface, and a couple of short dark bluish and reddish paint marks near the center.
