Bowl, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, bowl with a small round flat bottom. The bowl walls are tilted in the lower half, straight in the upper half, ending with a low, slightly distinct, slightly thickened and rounded rim. In the lower part of the bowl, a pinkish burn mark is visible, left by the bowl in which it was placed. Clay vessel, table vessel, vice-free, ca. 2600–2350 BC; Early Jazira III / Early Dynastic III period. Found at Tell Jassa el Gharbi Northeastern Syria; origin Northern Mesopotamia Khabur Basin. Height 7.7 cm, width 12.3 cm, weight 170 g., A round, shallow ceramic bowl viewed from above with an interior surface in shades of tan and beige showing a slightly darker central area and lighter rim; the bowl has visible cracks and a few repaired seams forming a patchwork of segments, with some small spots of discoloration and surface irregularities; the background is a flat gray.
