Bowl, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, bowl with a small round flat bottom. The bowl walls are tilted in the lower half, straight in the upper half, ending with a low, slightly distinct, slightly thickened and rounded rim. In the lower part of the bowl, a pinkish burn mark is visible, left by the bowl in which it was placed. Clay vessel, table vessel; vice-free. Early Jazira III period / Early Dynastic III period, ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Findspot: Tell Jassa el Gharbi Northeastern Syria; origin: Northern Mesopotamia Khabur Basin, Al-Jazira region. Height 7.7 cm; width 12.3 cm; weight 170 g., A rounded bowl with a smooth rim sits against a flat background, showing an outer surface marked by several hairline cracks and small pits. The bowl's finish displays horizontal tool marks and subtle variations in color, with areas of beige, light tan, muted pink, and pale brown blending across its curved surface. The background is a uniform dark gray.
