Bowl, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop. Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC / Early Dynastic III period. Small round flat-bottomed bowl: walls tilted in the lower half, straight in the upper half, ending with a low, slightly distinct, slightly thickened and rounded rim. Pinkish burn mark visible on the lower part from contact with another bowl. Material: clay. Origin: Northern Mesopotamia Al-Jazira/Khabur Basin, found at Tell Jassa el Gharbi Northeastern Syria. Function: vessel/table bowl. Dimensions: height 7.7 cm; width 12.3 cm; weight 170 g., A rounded ceramic bowl shown against a solid dark gray background, with a visible vertical crack running from rim to base and a surface pitted with small holes and irregularities; the bowl displays a gradient of colors including beige, tan, light brown, pale pinkish tones, and hints of yellow, with subtle horizontal striations and areas of darker brown near the lower portion.
