Miniature bowl, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Clay; miniature vessel with a narrow rounded missing bottom and a straight rim; arched walls terminating in a straight rim. Early Dynastic III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Origin: Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin, Tell Jassa el Gharbi North-Eastern Syria. Height 3 cm; width 5 cm., A roughly hemispherical bowl with a textured, worn surface in shades of tan, beige, and light brown is centered against a solid gray background; the bowl shows areas of roughness and small pits, with subtle variations of cream and ochre on its exterior and a small area of muted red near the lower rim.
