Fragment of a bottle upper 3/4, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC Early Dynastic III period. The upper 3/4 of a vice-free bottle with a slender ovoid belly and a high neck terminating in a thickened, outwardly turned-out rim of triangular cross-section. Clay vessel bottle. Provenance: Tell Jassa el Gharbi north-eastern Syria, Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin. Height 18 cm; width 16 cm., A weathered, rounded clay vessel with a flared rim and a narrow neck sits against a plain gray background, showing a surface of beige and light brown tones with patches of darker brown and pale speckling; the vessel displays several visible cracks and areas where pieces are missing, revealing an inner, darker interior, and the exterior texture appears rough and porous with irregular shading and subtle worn marks.
