Bowl, unknown northern Mesopotamian workshop; shallow miniature bowl with a straight rim and a thick flat bottom; pottery vessel, ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC Early Jazira III / Early Dynastic III period; excavated at Tell Abu Hafur northeastern Syria, Khabur basin, Northern Mesopotamia; height 2.1 cm, diameter 4.8 cm, depth 1.1 cm., A rough, bowl-shaped object with an uneven, textured surface sits against a plain gray background; the object appears irregularly rounded with a shallow interior and a rugged, pitted exterior showing a natural, earthy beige and tan coloration with small darker specks and lighter flecks throughout.
