Vessel with an egg-shaped base and a bulging, conically inclined belly, transitioning into short, rounded shoulders with a low, inclined neck terminating in a narrow, outwardly curled rim. On the inside, the neck is separated from the rim by a thin engraved line. 1st half of the 3rd millennium BC; Early Jazira III period Early Dynastic III; ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Tell Abu Hafur North-Eastern Syria, Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin. Vessel; height 9.2 cm, width 13.3 cm, weight 270 g., A rounded, wide-mouthed ceramic vessel sits on a clear circular stand against a plain background; the pot has a bulbous body with a slightly flared rim and visible surface irregularities and faint circular marks from shaping. The visible colors are beige, light tan, cream, pale yellow, and touches of brown, with subtle darker areas inside the opening and slight discolorations and streaks on the exterior.
