Terracotta figurine of a woman, unknown Boeotian workshop. Female mold-pressed figurine standing in a long chiton. Head set on a thick neck; oval face with a large nose and almond-shaped eyes. Arms bent at the elbows, forearms raised with hands pressed against the shoulders. Right hand holds a cylindrical object probably a fragment of a longer element. Traces of brown and red polychrome. Condition: left hand broken off, surface worn. Ca. 550 BC. Boeotia. Figurine; height 23 cm, width 7 cm., A slender standing figure viewed in profile, rendered in a weathered beige material with irregular darker brown patches and spotting across the surface; the figure has an elongated head with a pronounced nose, a long neck, and narrow shoulders leading into a straight, columnar torso and skirted lower body, with the suggestion of feet at the base; the surface shows rough texture, chips, and worn areas, and the background is a smooth mid-gray.
