Stone vessel – kandila, Body in the shape of a flattened hemisphere with four evenly spaced, ribbed, vertical handles. The handles have round holes pierced through their centers and slightly protrude into the surface of the body. Narrow, flattened shoulders. Neck clearly defined, wide, and conical. Spout formed by a delicately defined roll running around the rim of the vessel. Interior hollowed out in the neck area with a shallow, semicircular recess protruding into the body; the remaining part of the belly is not hollowed out. 3200–2800 BC Early Cycladic I period, Grotta–Pelos culture, Cyclades. Vessel. Height 11.5 cm, width 9 cm, weight 0.734 kg., A single stone vessel sits upright against a dark gray background, with a rounded body on a flared pedestal base and a short cylindrical neck with a slightly uneven rim; the surface shows a textured, weathered appearance with rough patches and small chips, and the visible colors are beige, light tan, off-white, and hints of pale brown, casting a soft shadow beneath it.
