Urn with a depiction of swans, unknown Roman workshop. Sepulchral funerary architecture. Main plate: trapezoidal urn tapering toward the top, placed on a profiled base. Front decoration dominated by a tabula ansata whose ears are decorated with palmettes. Below the inscription field are two swans in deep relief, facing each other with strongly arched necks and outstretched wings touching the inscription frame. Upper part crowned by a profiled cornice; rectangular protrusion on the inner upper edge for securing the lid. Side walls: no decoration. Metal pins visible under the cornice on both sides. Lid: original missing. Dated to the 2nd half of the 1st century AD probably 3rd quarter of the 1st century AD or broadly 2nd half 1st–1st half 2nd century AD. Roman Empire; findspot Rome. Urn Roman. Weight 45.5 kg., A rectangular carved stone monument set against a plain gray background, primarily in shades of off-white, light gray, and pale beige with subtle mottled discoloration; the top edge features a carved floral scroll with rounded rosette forms at each corner and curved leaf motifs, and a small raised central ornament; the main face has a recessed rectangular panel bordered by shallow moldings and flanked by triangular leaf-carved accents on the sides; below the panel a pair of stylized birds in low-relief face each other with outstretched wings and elongated necks forming a mirrored composition; the base rests on a molded plinth showing slight wear and darker patches at the corners.
