Head of a man with short hair tied with a headband crossed at the nape of the neck and falling at the ends to the neck. Short, wide strands of hair protrude from under the headband onto the forehead. The face is small, with regular features, a straight nose widening significantly downward, prominent lips, a clearly emphasized chin, large deep-set eyes, prominent eyebrows, small ears close-fitting to the head. The upper fragment of the pilaster is visible at the back, with the head resting on it. With underlay 20.5, 44–30 BC; Ptolemaic period end of the reigns of Caesarion and Cleopatra, Egypt; sculpture. Dimensions: height 19.3 cm, width 13 cm, depth 17 cm; weight 7.532 kg., A sculpted head made of dark stone with lighter worn areas, showing a smooth rounded top, a band around the forehead, and short stylized hair along the hairline; the face has carved eyes, a defined nose, and closed lips, with subtle surface pitting and patches of lighter discoloration; the ears project slightly at the sides and the neck sits on a flat base; visible colors include dark gray, black, and lighter grayish-beige worn highlights, against a neutral light gray background.
