Ushabti, back pillars, hoes, funerary figurine, wig, grave goods, mummy-shaped figurine standing on a base, supported at the back by a flat pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest, the right folded over the left. In the left hand a pickaxe, in the right a hoe and a twisted string on which a basket is slung over the left shoulder. Engraved tools. On the head is a long, smooth, tripartite wig. Oval face, facial details slightly blurred. Long, straight, slightly damaged beard. Not inscribed. 332–30 BC; Ptolemaic Period. From Tuna el-Gebel Tuna el-Galat according to owner, Hermopolis. Shabti. Height 10.6 cm, width 3.2 cm., A narrow upright figurine with a rounded head and stylized features stands on a rectangular block, the figure showing a smooth elongated form with arms held close to the body and simplified feet; the surface of the figurine displays a mottled turquoise and green glaze with areas of lighter cream and small darker spots, and the rectangular base is a warm ochre color.
