Ushabti; Mummy-shaped funerary figurine standing on a base, supported at the back by a flat pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest, right over left. In the left hand a pickaxe, in the right a hoe and a twisted string from which a basket is slung over the left shoulder. Engraved tools. Long, smooth tripartite wig; oval face with slightly blurred details; long, straight, slightly damaged beard. Not inscribed. Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC. From Tuna el-Gebel Hermopolis. Shabti. Height 10.6 cm; width 3.2 cm., A small statuette stands on a rectangular block, showing the upper form of a human figure with a rounded head and a long, narrow body that tapers toward the base; the surface is textured and irregular. The object displays a mix of blue and green hues with areas of pale yellowish and tan discoloration, and there are a few darker spots. The supporting block is a warm beige or light tan color with a rough, slightly pitted surface. The background is a uniform neutral gray.
