Ushabti of General Chaihorpata, Chaihorpata ca. 380–343 BC. Shabti, mummy-shaped figurine, standing on a base with a flat pillar at the back. Arms crossed on the chest with only the hands protruding from under the shroud; left hand holds a pickaxe, right hand a hoe, and a twisted string with a basket slung over the left shoulder. Convex tools. Wears a three-part wig styled in narrow strands with main strands ending in narrow borders; ears uncovered. Long, straight, narrow braided beard. Carefully modeled facial details with proportionate features; eyes and eyebrows marked with a soft line, mouth in a slight grimace; nose damaged. Inscription engraved and placed in nine rows separated by thin lines around the figurine's legs. 380–343 BC; Late Period, 30th Dynasty, Egypt. Height 20 cm; width 5.5 cm., A small carved figure stands upright on a rectangular base with a smooth rounded top, rendered in off-white and pale gray tones with areas of brownish staining and weathering; the figure has a detailed head with long, ribbed hair and a narrow beard, a calm facial expression, and shoulders that slope into a tapered, wrapped body covered in horizontal bands; the arms are crossed at the chest holding narrow implements, and the surface shows traces of darker brown discoloration and fine pitting across the pale stone, with the base resting on a warm tan platform against a uniform mid-gray background.
