Smooth, three-part high-domed wig; ears uncovered. Small face with large almond-shaped eyes, worn nose, mouth in a slight grimace. Long beard, slightly tapering, curled and braided at the end. Inscribed on the front of the legs, starting just below the crossed arms and extending to the toes, as a column of text bordered on both sides by vertical lines. Shabti; Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC, Egypt. Height 10.5 cm, width 3.9 cm., A single upright carved figure in a brown, weathered stone-like material stands against a plain gray background, showing a rounded head and a long vertical body with subtle carved lines suggesting wrapped limbs and a narrow base, with surface texture that is rough and pitted and areas of lighter and darker brown, and a small square patch of woven beige fabric attached near the lower front.
