Shabti overseer Amenemone. A shabti figurine depicted in living attire, wearing a knee-length loincloth. In her left hand, bent at the elbow and folded across her chest, she holds a hoe placed on her right shoulder; the hoe's blade reaches down to her hand. The right arm hangs along the body. The face is small, triangular, with only the eyes clearly defined; other facial details are blurred. On the head is a three-part, smooth wig tied with a headband, the ends of which fall down the back; the ears are uncovered. A column of hieroglyphic text on the front of the headband. Text, hoe and headband, and facial details painted in black paint. c. 1069–c. 945 BC, Third Intermediate Period, 21st Dynasty, Egypt. Shabti; height 8 cm, width 2.3 cm., A small, elongated object with a rounded top and an irregular side protrusion in a turquoise-blue color with mottled lighter and darker areas; a vertical black line runs down the center from the top and branches into a short horizontal black stroke near the top, and there is a small rectangular patch in a tan-brown color attached near the middle; the surface shows some speckled brown and greenish discoloration and a few rough, pitted textures.
