Mummy portrait of a boy. Portrait of a boy painted on a small board with diagonally cut upper corners. The boy, shown halfway down his torso, has his head tilted slightly to the left. Lush black hair, combed upwards, falls behind his right ear, creating a lock of youth. Facial features are carefully depicted: large eyes with light brown pupils, precisely modeled; defined eyelashes; a long straight nose; a small mouth with slightly downturned corners. He wears a white tunic with a trapezoidal neckline; a purple clarus coat over his right shoulder; and a white cloak slung over his left. A black ribbon terminating in a gold pendant hangs around his neck. Above the right shoulder, against a light brown background, is the figurine of a small dark brown horse breaking into a gallop. The gray background around the head is carelessly painted, with visible brush marks. 2nd half of the 2nd century according to K. Parlaski, late 1st century, perhaps first half of the 2nd century.
