Bowl, Low bowl with a rounded bottom and a widening, rounded rim. Nile clay, fine-grained, well-fired. Smoothed surface. Formed on a slow-rotating wheel. Bowl glued together from several fragments. I, London 1942, 4240, 13.II.67, c. 2686–c. 2181 BC., A shallow, round clay bowl with a smooth rim is centered against a plain gray background; the bowl shows earthy tones of brown, terracotta, and muted orange with subtle variations in hue and surface texture, including small speckles and faint worn areas, and its interior and exterior surfaces appear slightly uneven and matte.
