Medum type bowl, Medum type bowl with carination under the rim. Rim diameter smaller than the diameter of the shoulders. Rounded bottom. Straight, slightly flaring rim. Vessel made on the wheel of Nile clay, surface leveled. The bottom and lower part of the vessel finished to about half its height with a knife or similar tool. The surface of the vessel is covered with a layer of engobe . Vessel colour – red. c. 2686–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu. Vessel; height 9 cm, diameter 21.1 cm rim, diameter 21.5 cm shoulders, A top-down view of a round, shallow clay bowl in a reddish-brown color with a smooth interior surface and subtle variations in tone, placed against a light gray background; the bowl shows a worn rim with small chips and scuffs, and there are a few tiny dark specks and faint discolorations inside.
