Medum type bowl, Medum type bowl with carination under the rim. Rim diameter smaller than the diameter of the shoulders. Rounded bottom. Straight, slightly flaring rim. Vessel made on the wheel of Nile clay, surface leveled. The bottom and lower part of the vessel finished to about half its height with a knife or similar tool. The surface of the vessel is covered with a layer of engobe . Vessel colour – red. c. 2686–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu. Vessel; height 9 cm; diameter 21.1 cm rim, 21.5 cm shoulders., A large terracotta-colored ceramic bowl is shown from a side view against a neutral gray background, with a rounded body that tapers to a pointed base and a slightly flared rim. The bowl's surface shows variations of reddish-brown and orange hues with areas of lighter tan and pale spots, plus visible scuffs and subtle surface texture. The rim has a darker band of brownish-orange, and there are small dark specks and worn marks scattered across the exterior.
