Vessel, Egyptian pottery, ceramics, clay vessel. Conical-shaped vessel, widest at approximately 3/4 of its height. Quite wide, almost horizontal shoulders slightly sloping. Wide, short, funnel-shaped neck, widening towards the spout. Wide spout, flat in the upper part, slightly rounded at the bottom, slightly asymmetrical. Flat, asymmetrical bottom. Surface leveled. Lower part finished to approximately 2/3 of its height with a knife or similar tool. Outer surface and inner surface of the rim and neck covered with a layer of dark red engobe. Vessel color dark red. Vessel complete; surface eroded in many places, numerous clay chips on the rim. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC; provenance Edfu. Vessel height 16 cm; diameter 8.6 cm rim, 10.7 cm body, 4.5 cm bottom., A rounded terracotta object with a rough, speckled surface in shades of reddish-brown and warm orange sits against a flat gray background, showing a recessed circular base area with worn edges and traces of a darker brown patina; the surface has small dark flecks and areas of lighter beige wear, and there is a spot of darker ink-like marking on the base.
