Vessel, Egyptian pottery, ceramics, clay vessel, conical-shaped vessel, widest at approximately 3/4 of its height. Quite wide, almost horizontal shoulders slightly sloping. Wide, short, funnel-shaped neck, widening towards the spout. Wide spout, flat in the upper part, slightly rounded at the bottom, slightly asymmetrical. Flat bottom, asymmetrical. Surface leveled. Lower part finished to approximately 2/3 of its height with a knife or similar tool. Outer surface and inner surface of the rim and neck covered with a layer of dark red engobe. Vessel color dark red. Vessel complete; surface eroded in many places, numerous clay chips on the rim. Ca. 2686–ca. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu, vessel, height 16 cm, diameter 8.6 cm rim, diameter 10.7 cm body, diameter 4.5 cm bottom., A single tall earthenware vessel with a wide flaring rim and a tapered body fills the image against a plain background. The surface of the vessel is textured and worn, showing rough patches and small pitted areas. Its overall color is a warm reddish-brown with mottled darker specks and lighter tan flecks scattered across the body and rim. The background is a muted gray, providing contrast to the reddish-brown of the vessel.
