Cylindrical vessel with crosshatched decoration, painted and engraved ceramic, geometric motifs. The vessel has a slightly tapering cylindrical shape with a slightly convex bottom and a widely rolled-out rim. A plastic, wavy ornament runs three-quarters of the way up, arranged so the upper part appears recessed relative to the lower. Surface covered with a light engobe and decorated with a painted diagonal grid. Attributed to B. Ruszczyc, c. 3200–c. 3050 BC; Predynastic Period, Naqada III Naqada phase IIIa2, Abusir el-Melek find site.
