Amulet — Toeris; maker, subject: Toeris Egyptian hippopotamus goddess; Egyptian religion; Late Period, 664–332 BC, Egypt; material: amulet; height 4.6 cm, width 1.5 cm; noted as repossession Radom., A small sculpted figure viewed in profile against a plain light gray background, showing a pale greenish-blue surface with mottled brown spots and areas of darker discoloration; the figure has a humanoid body with a pronounced snout-like face, a textured mane or hair falling down the back, rounded shoulders, and an arm bent along the torso; a loop or hole is visible near the upper back, and there are traces of reddish pigment on the rear side; the surface appears pitted and weathered with a glossy, glazed finish.
