Copy of a Babylonian kudurru from the period of Marduk-naddin-ahhe 11th century BC, Ancient Near East, kudurru copy, Kassite Kingdom 1595–1158 BC, Eastern Gallic scenography, Babylonia Iraq applies to the original, 19th century, copy, weight 5.44 kg, A tall, elongated stone object with a rounded top and tapered bottom rests on a black pedestal; the stone is predominantly pale gray with areas of off-white and light beige, showing a weathered, slightly rough surface with smoother patches and faint darker streaks. The top portion has carved relief shapes, and the main body displays a rectangular panel of small incised marks. The lower portion of the stone has irregular chips and a slightly darker, rougher texture where it meets the pedestal, which is glossy black with a turned, rounded base and a few lighter scuff marks. The background is a uniform medium gray.
