Terracotta figurine of an actor, Terracotta; Hellenistic period, Greece, 332–30 BC. Figurine of an actor sitting on a pedestal. Head turned to the right; legs crossed at the ankles. Wearing a loincloth and a cloak covering the left side of the body. Left arm bent at the elbow, hand rests on the right cheek. Right hand holds the cloak on the left shoulder. Face covered by a caricatured mask with a beard. Sculpture; height 18.2 cm. Preservation: fragmentary—cheek, left hand, and left calf are imprinted., A worn seated statue on a rectangular base, showing a figure with a rounded head and softened facial features, one arm raised toward the face and the other resting at the side, draped cloth falling over the back and beside the body, visible surface erosion and flaking, textured rough patches and smoother areas, and a color palette of earthy beige, pale brown, muted gray, and touches of yellow.
