Oval lamp with short burner channel surrounded by a shaft similar to the disc. Large oil hole occupying the entire surface of the disc. Arms decorated with plant tendrils. Conical handle. Ring-shaped base with a star in the center. Type A oil lamp according to the typology of Kubiak of Fustat 9th–11th century; similar lamps have been found in Umayyad contexts late 7th–8th century. 2nd half 7th–8th century, Syro-Palestine; oil lamp, height 3.3 cm, width 11.0 cm, depth 9.8 cm., An aged shallow vessel with a rounded base and a narrow spout sits against a plain gray background; the object shows a weathered surface with a mix of beige, tan, brown, gray, and darker charcoal tones, with worn textured areas, chips, and rough patches, and a reflected image of the vessel below creating muted mirrored beige and gray tones.
