Large ovoid amphora with rounded foot, clay MD marl, Vienna System. Body wheel-made; hand-made foot. Two small vertical handles placed at greatest bulge at base of the sloping arms; sloping arms symmetrically placed with two black-painted inscriptions labels/dockets on their bases. Above one handle, slightly toward the center, are impressed cartouches of Hatshepsut and Thutmose III and a snake hieroglyph dz. Potter’s mark of two intersecting lines beneath one handle. Surface even; color very light brown. Incomplete—neck and spout missing. New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty reign of Hatshepsut and Thutmose III, ca. 1550–1295 BC. Preserved height 49.5 cm; diameter at belly 30.5 cm., A large, rounded clay vessel with a tapered pointed base and a narrow top, shown against a gray background; the vessel has a matte, textured surface in pale beige and tan tones with areas of light pink and faint reddish patches, and it features a pair of looped handles on opposite sides that are similar in color and texture to the body.
