Fragment of a sarcophagus depicting the daughter of King Lycomedes, unknown Roman workshop, Classified Gallic Scenography, Lycomedes mythology, Roman art, late 2nd–3rd century, Roman Empire 27 BC–476, bas-relief, sarcophagus Roman, height 77 cm, width 32.5 cm, depth 16 cm, weight 63.5 kg, A tall, roughly rectangular stone slab with an uneven, broken top and a rough, textured surface; the slab shows a split of surface tones with one side appearing light gray and the other side a brownish-beige, along with areas of darker brown and subtle yellowish discoloration; the stone has pitted, irregular contours and visible chipping along edges and base, and the background is a smooth gradient of dark gray.
