Pin, unknown Luristan workshop. Pin with a thin, oval shaft terminating in a head in the form of a bird figurine. The transition from the shaft to the head begins with a delicately engraved zigzag ornament and parallel lines, behind which is a plastic beaded ornament composed of five segments, alternately spherical with engraved decoration and cylindrical smooth; behind them the extension of the shaft is formed by a figurine of a sitting or swimming bird. Materials: bronze. Subject: birds, geometric ornaments, decorations. Style/period: Luristan bronzes, Iron Period II, 8th–6th century BC 1st half of the 1st millennium BC.
